There is this mighty waterfall in Southern Africa, on the Zambezi river, at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe – the Victoria Falls. It presents a spectacular sight of the amazingly beautiful Zambezi river. The waterfall is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world as the columns of sprays can be seen even from miles away. As a result of the rock erosion, there is a rock pool formed, which is right on the very edge of the drop. This is the one and only Devil’s Pool.
You reach the pool after a small walk over the rocks and swim in the Zambezi. The brave ones who leap into the pool get pushed to the edge by force of the river and they will be stopped by the rock lip as the raging waters of the Zambezi crash over the cliffs a few feet away. Since the water level is low, the natural rock walls of the Devil’s Pool form a barrier and stop swimmers from being carried away.
One of the most adventurous bucket list items in the whole world.
