"The green route trek"A.k.a "the sakleshpur railway trek"
The common trek route is from Donigal to yedakumeri.Total distance of 17km
How to reach trekking spot?- U can reach sakleshpur by bus/train/private vahicle.Continue 4 more kms from sakleshpur to manjrabad fort. From manjrabad fort opt to shiradi ghat road (as of now the road is cloesd) move towards Donigal for 2 more km.Take a right turn at https://goo.gl/maps/iK7ANvCmyFT2 and continue for 1km more and u will be in railway track.Because of lack of bus connectivity from sakleshpur bus stop I started my trek from sakleshpur bus stop at 5AM itself.Reached manjrabad fort by 5:50am And trek starting point at 6:00 am.Took some rest and a chit chat with the railway gaurd for 15min.
The birds welcomed me with their chirping sounds to the lost connectivity from the busy world. U will witness the glory and mesmerising view of western ghats and indian railways.
I passed donigal bridge and a small falls n then I reached donigal railway station.Had some packed breakfast over there. And I didn't wait for more time over there so I started moving into the tracks. At some point I was afraid of rains but because of god's grace It didn't rain.
I was little bit disappointed at some point because of no trains and tunnels but finally I found a goods train n later a tunnel which boosted me to reach yedakumeri faster.Passed few tunnels n small bridges, took some gud snaps n those mesmerizing veiws of mother nature was absolutely in my favour n didn't disappoint my solo trek and U can call it as a photographer's paradise.
I reached yedakumeri railway bridge around 12 pm Couldn't take the pics at bridge juz because of a rail engine was approaching the bridge. And There was a signal so without a second thought I asked a lift to loco pilot so I could reach Subramanya road by 2 pm.
That was a superb journey, all the way from sakleshpur to yedakumeri. The 23km journey n superb view of western ghats from the rail engine drew me really crazy. It was all a fun filled crazy adventure trek.
