Find a grassy field with a gentle downhill of 30 yards or so that then flattens out goes uphill slightly. Strap a helmet, stuck in shoelaces, long pants and gloves can give additional protections. Go about 15 yards up the hill. Try to resist holding bike for steady learning. Bike will coast slowly and the cyclist can put his/her feet down if he/she scared. Try paddling the bicycle every time. If cyclist keep their knee close they can balance better.
