Chandipur, also known as Chandipur-on-sea, is a small sea resort in Balasore District, Odisha, India. The resort is on the Bay of Bengal and is approximately 16 kilometers from the
Baleswar Railway Station. The beach is unique in that the water recedes from 1
to 4 kilometers during the ebb tide. It is a suitable picnic spot. In summer the
temperature is 25-40 degree Celsius but in winter its 17-26 degree Celsius. Nov-Jan
is the suitable time for traveling to here. A unique wonder rarely seen, the sea withdraws by as much as five-seven
kilometers every day.
