In light of these events, they have taken the decision to uphold the national security and integrity of India by maintaining the sovereignty of Indian cyberspace. For the time being, the ban on Chinese apps remains temporary. However, that has opened up spaces for Indian apps to take back the consumer market to themselves! This way, the country and the Indian apps also promote themselves as part of Modi government's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign. The decision of banning 59 Chinese apps is in conjunction with the Prime Minister's Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. It seeks to create a self-reliant nation. The ban of Chinese apps has created a demand for more Indian apps that provide similar services to the public.
